Getting e-text-editor to play nice with Cygwin ...

I didn’t do the standard Cygwin install during the e install, and had to dig after the fact for which packages were necessary (I’d had problems installing Cygwin before).  It’s taken a while to debug all the necessities, but this will help, too.

Well, there you go: should have done yourself a favor and learn Emacs when you were still young and receptive grin EMACS as in “Eight Megabytes And Constantly Swapping”. It’s one of the first things I install on any new system. Aquamacs (http://aquamacs.org/ - MacOSX) is one of my favorite ports.
