CNBC: GoPro gets ready to go public, but is it a good investment?

I was just wondering … remember the Flip video camera? It was all the rage for … two years? Where’d it go? Video is going to be iterating very swiftly over the next couple of years. Very swiftly.

The flip camera guys built this amazing video over the internet service. Cisco got wind of it, and realized that it would devastate their hugely expensive B2B meeting/teleconference service offerings, so they bought up the company, killed the internet video service, and since they didn’t give a shit about the consumer market for video cameras in any case, they killed the product too.

Bastards.
