SF New Mexican:  More dead teens, due to a drunken driver.

Four Santa Fe teens killed in wrong-way collision; suspected drunken driver charged. “He told deputies he thought he was on his way home to Eldorado, and was apparently unaware that he was, in fact, heading the opposite direction ...”  I often travel Old Las Vegas highway at night, because I come across more erratic and dangerous drivers on I-25. I suppose it’s not a wise idea, given that Old Las Vegas Highway has less width for maneuverability, esp. since they put up those new wire guardrails.

I wonder what is the best counter to an oncoming drunk in a wrong lane. Personally, I think slowing down and stopping, pulling off the road as far as possible, is the best solution.  Attempting to pass a drunk is extremely dangerous.

Condolences to all the families.
