SF New Mexican: Business beat - Studio profits call incentives into question.

Something is fundamentally wrong in America when over $30 million in public taxpayer funds [New Mexico and Ohio credits combined] is given to one of the richest and most profitable companies on earth [Disney] to finance one of the most profitable movies in history.” Note, however, the question in the paragraphs above: “Could the money have been better spent on roads, interchanges, bridges, water infrastructure?” The local benefits of the movie incentive go to small and medium businesses, which need help as much as our infrastructure does. The targeting is much better, IMHO, than that which any politician or legislature could craft.
