NY Times Editorial:

Our Pen-and-Paper Doctors.  Unless a big player like Google becomes the de facto standard, or every medical outfit agrees and standardizes on a set of file formats (skeptical), this will fail miserably (though centralization brings the usual privacy concerns).  I’ll give you a for-instance.  As a business, I look at others’ accounting systems with horror.  Each ‘upgrade’ brings more mayhem.  Accounting ledgers and writing instruments may have been slower, but they were consistent.  Cast me as a Luddite; I care not.
