New Criterion:
Journalism, Power without responsibility. Interesting. To me, the dangers of modern journalism are: editorializing when one should be strictly reporting, and “what’s new”-ing without a comprehensive knowledge of history or ‘prior art.’ Journalists should specialize; one can no longer be the “renaissance man” and have a sum total of the world’s knowledge contained in their home library.
