Macworld: E-Book prices fuel outrage—and innovation.

Defending the publishing industry’s prices over ebooks is BS, IMHO ... until they have quality control on their ebook products, the prices are exorbitant.  Out of all the ebooks I’ve purchased or downloaded, fully half have punctuation issues, formatting problems ... some simply won’t advance beyond a certain page! I understand the publishers, not the retailers, are doing the OCR scanning. Where is QC (Quality Control)? It is completely missing in action. You used to be able to hit the comments on retailers sites to find which texts have issues ... but those comments seem to be disappearing swiftly, while the problems remain.
