Culture in the Age of Blogging. “This phenomenon appears to be something new in the history of Western culture. Certainly it is as different as can be imagined from the geographically concentrated, city-centered circles of artistic and intellectual activity that have hitherto played the dominant role in cultural formation. It is also qualitatively different from the culture-forming activity one finds in the contemporary academy.”
