I always watch threads like this, to see if anything new pops up. Now you see, Tarsnap sounds interesting.

Spideroak is also interesting. (not that I have anything against tarsnap, they’re pretty reasonable)

Great. I still get the idea it’s cheaper to just buy more hard drives, and label the durned things well. And chuck a few really critical ones off-site someplace.

Waiting for USB flash drives to develop greater capacity at a better price point ... though I haven’t looked into what their archival life is.
