Adobe Lightroom ships February 19.
DP Review comments, Rob Galbraith comments, and adds info on Camera Raw 3.7.
I think the price point is excellent, and I hope the software does exceedingly well. Note that if you bought Pixmantec Rawshooter Premium, you are automatically entitled to a Lightroom license.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the beta. It’s been my exclusive RAW converter now for months, beta bumps and glitches or no. It has improved my photographic output, beyond what I was accomplishing with other RAW converters. I can’t often say that about a mere piece of software.
Later: Digital Outback Photo has a preview of 1.0. Luminous Landscape has a Lightroom Illumination, and a 4.5 hour Lightroom instructional video for $14.95, but 20% off if ordered before Feb. 25. Photo District News has a blurb, as does Ars Technica.
Comments:
Well, yes, “mere” may be pushing understatement, even for me.
I haven’t cracked open Camera Raw, Breezebrowser, Digital Photo Professional, Bibble, or anything else since downloading Lightroom. I altered my post to reflect that reality.
Game, set, and match from what I can see. They responded nicely to the requests from the beta users. ...and their forum responses have been good considering the passion of some of the posts.

“Mere”? Well, yeah, but I had a reader write me and ask what if I’d changed in cameras or processing back in the Fall and pretty much nailed the week I started using the beta.
That intro price point just put it in place over Silkypix for me.
