Help.
I just put up a new site last week. There’s a ‘public info’ DNS listing from Hurricane Electric hogging the top spot in Google search for the domain name (‘domainname.com’), showing all the dirty little hosting particulars. How do I get Hurricane Electric to drop this ... or can I get Google to delist it? It’s crimping my style major league.

Better Gmail with ActiveInbox - Get email under control & get things done.
Looks mighty tempting. Arrange things by project? Might make me shelve Mailplane.

CNET: How to ease into Google Voice - Freeze your cell phone service.
“There is, however, a third way, one that lets you ease into Google Voice — or ease out of your monthly service — before completely ditching your carrier plan. I discovered it accidentally when calling T-Mobile to cancel a service I now rarely use. I was adamant about canceling service, until the tenacious customer service rep offered me this: temporarily suspending my plan for a nominal, $10-per-month holding fee while I decided what to do.”

“Most people don’t even include it in their pages anymore, and for good reason as it’s generally a waste of time. But new evidence may suggest that the tag may not be completely ignored by Google as most have believed.” Soon as it gets publicized, it’ll get spammed.
Computerworld: Android upgrades: Which manufacturers can you trust?
Buying an Android phone doesn’t mean you can necessarily partake of latest upgrades in a reasonable timeframe. Google and smartphone manufacturers need to pull up their socks here.

All Things Digital: Flipboard Adds RSS Support to Social Magazine App.
Some are hailing the ‘death of RSS’ ... but without RSS, Flipboard would largely be a waste of time, IMHO. Browsers never did do RSS particularly well. For them to drop RSS (except to port the link over to a standalone app, as they do with email) makes all the sense in the world.
SEO By The Sea: Google’s Acquisition of Myriad Group Phone Patents.
“The patents cover a range of methods used on a mobile phone, starting with a predictive model that guesses what the next keystroke might be by a phone user, scrolling for zoom displays, linking and bookmarking and application launching through a mobile browser, as well as a number of approaches to optimizing browsing on a smartphone. Here on the patent filings that have been assigned to Google, according to the USTPO assignment database ...”
