Washington Post: Enough right-wing propaganda

The mainstream media and the Obama administration must stop cowering before a right wing that has persistently forced its propaganda to be accepted as news by convincing traditional journalists that ‘fairness’ requires treating extremist rants as ‘one side of the story.’

A few years ago I thought about creating a site called “Stupid News” but the domain was long gone so I never gave it much more thought.

I’m so sick and tired of the tabloidization of news. At what point did the facts stop mattering? Why is more emphasis put on the sensationalistic nature of news rather than the actual facts?

We must continue to resist the “idiotization” of American news and not give douchebags like Breitbart, Beck and Limbaugh the attention they so badly want. All three of them don’t give a flying fuck about the damage they are doing. They’re in it for the money and nothing else.

What particularly disturbs me, is for any given piece of legislation, the finding of one tiny detail and blowing it up to horrendous proportions and killing the bill.
