Very clever and delightfully ‘light’, loads and runs far faster than I expected

The number of developers that seem to think I’m going to sit and wait for their bloated video to cache or watch it in snippets between cache cycles tells me they never run their work on anything but their over-powered work machines.

Or maybe my roots are showing from the dialup days
; )

I remember developers getting huge kudos for optimizing code to the minimum RAM necessary too.

Yet another long gone design goal.

Vimeo encourages HD, which means bloody huge files. Playback then relies on bandwidth and network traffic ... always variable.

I tend to hit ‘play’, then ‘pause’, and let ‘em load all the way before fully playing.
