You’ve seen this, I assume?  Important consideration, here in the land of hitched-up pickups and SUVs.

If you search for “smart car crash” on youtube, you will find a longer version of the video that includes an important conclusion at the end: While the passenger cell remained intact due to its rigidity, the deceleration would probably not have been survivable for passengers.

Still, it’s an impressive result. I wonder how passengers in an SUV or pickup would have fared in that crash.
