SF New Mexican:

Firefighters brace for windy conditions. The plume from the Trigo Fire was just humongous yesterday afternoon, when winds were peaking.  Not a cloud in the sky, except for what looked like a ‘crashed thunderstorm’ south of us.  If we don’t get some moisture or relief from the winds, look for the national forests to be closed come July 4.  Get your hiking in now.
