ProPublica: Do ‘Environmental Extremists’ Pose Criminal Threat to Gas Drilling?

We were vocally aggressive in early meetings with the oil company who tried to drill here in Santa Fe. The oil execs even wished they’d had police at the public hearing. Emotions were extremely high, because property values and health were threatened ... yet nothing happened. Not mentioned in news reports: most of the crowd were over 50 (Santa Fe’s still a retirement mecca). Threat? Extremists? You decide. That being said, I feel drilling outfits would love to silence public opposition.
