On every damned news website ...

I want to have a big graphical lever. At the top, it says “SIGNAL”. At the bottom, it says “NOISE”. I’d like to be able to adjust this up and down to eliminate a lot of the useless, trivial stories. My braincase can only hold so much. I’d like even what I glance at to be worthy of attention.

So I’ve recently moved my `news` reading to news blur and now that I am taking a little time to start using the ‘training’ it is getting a bit better and indicating things that are more and less of interest to me.  mainly when I am starting to get ‘burdened’ I just fire down the ‘green’ dots and then just ‘flush’ the rest…  Not sure about long term but it at least makes me think I am being better wink

I use Newsblur through Reeder. I found flagging things took away stuff I wanted to see. But my uses are different than most ... (wink) ...

For the next iteration here, I should make a category-filter. Readers choose the categories they want to see, and it filters for that selection.

Aaaaaactually

If I could get news sources to use your summaries I wouldn’t need more than my visual filter.
