NY Times:
Tree planting vs. solar panels. I predict solar panels will win.
Comments:
3-dimensional wars have been going on the suburbs for ages ... esp. if you had a garden, and your neighbor had a delight for tall pine trees at the property line. Given the cultural sentiment of today, solar will win.

Interesting how this case will come to further define what 3-dimensional “property.” No longer is an acre just length and width: now it’s how far up you go, too.
In my view, this is a collision of America’s Disney-fied version of the European Estate, where each tiny parcel represents our subservience to social norms, while at the same time codifying a “my island, my rules” (Hello, Robinson Crusoe??).
Too many tiny manors absent actual manners.
In less than a year, they’re going to wish they had apple and orange trees, rather than.....shade.
