Retail Sales Slide Further, Except at Wal-Mart. In Santa Fe, Wal-Mart is no longer a haven for ratted-out Dodge Neons.  You see the well-heeled, sliding from their Mercs and their Lexus SUVs, somewhat sheepishly padding across the lot to get a shopping cart.

Day before yesterday, while I was sitting in the parking lot waiting for Marshall’s to open, what was parked with me? An E class Benz, a Land Rover, and a freakin’ Bentley.

I wonder who is still shopping the designer boutiques in Snottsdale?
