NY Times Opinionator: Can ‘No’ Revive the Republicans?

They think that by shouting louder than anyone else, more widely than anyone else, they can create an alternate reality. It’s up to us not to allow it to happen.  For instance, if you take a red view of history, Clinton was successful fiscally because Reagan’s voodoo economy persisted until GWB and 9/11. Yet Obama becomes responsible for GWB’s economy even *before* he takes office. Can’t have it both ways, kids. If Clinton lived off the supposed fat of Reagan, then Obama’s starving from GWB. The lack of internal consistency in the alternate-reality red historical timeline virtually screams with purposeful self-aggrandizing falsehoods.
