National Park Service Press Releases: Drones prohibited.

Totally expected. “In April, visitors at Grand Canyon National Park gathered for a quiet sunset, which was interrupted by a loud unmanned aircraft flying back and forth and eventually crashing in the canyon.” Sounds like you can get a ‘special use’ permit, however.

In ‘05, when I last visited Grand Teton (September), the most popular stop was the top of a small hill just west of Signal Mountain Lodge.  Supposed to have a great view, but it was also the location of the only celltower in the park at the time. Couldn’t even get close. Swore I could hear the blather from a couple of miles away.
