Macworld: Dell’s new 27-Inch IPS monitor now shipping.

“The new widescreen UltraSharp U2711 boasts a clarity similar to that of Apple’s high-end iMac, placing a massive screen resolution real-estate of 2560x1440 in front of users eyes. However, unlike the iMac, Dell customers will be pleased to know that the new monitor comes with a matte finish, to reduce that annoying screen glare.” The 27” iMac has the most astounding screen I’ve ever seen - and the gloss doesn’t bother me one bit. If this monitor approaches the same quality, I’ll be mightily impressed.
