KMBC, Kansas City: Cars Pile Up On Slick Highways.
Holy Hannah. Someone didn’t get the bulletin. Scratch that - *everyone* didn’t get the bulletin.
Comments:
Even if not bald, some tires do significantly worse in snow and ice than others. I usually switch to Michelins as soon as I can (unless I need to run on dirt/gravel roads; here the soft sidewalls will puncture easily).

Sigh...all of these people completely ill-equipped t understanding how to drive on slick roads. It’s pretty simple:
1. Drive slower
2. Don’t brake hard
3. Keep 3 times the distance between you and the car in front of you than you normally would
4. Don’t drive on bald tires
5. If you start to slip and slide, pump the brakes lightly. Don’t panic!
And if you can’t follow these simple rules, STAY HOME!
