André and I went to visit an earlier exhibition called Körperwelten (Bodyworlds) nine years ago. Back then I found it quite interesting, but since then the German media have reported that the volunteers whose bodies Gunther von Hagens uses in his exhibitions might not all be volunteers…
Also, I think there’s a big difference between displaying bodies as anatomic models - standing or sitting - and combining death and sex. While the earlier exhibitions seemed to have the goal to inform the visitor (cf. displaying healthy and diseased organs side by side), this one just seems to aim for spectacle. I’d pass, too.
