Even without lactose problems. That used to be the route for extra protein when I was in college. The locker room, after the guys chugged half-gallons, was beyond ripe.

My views on nutritional supplements were established as a child when mother on the basis of a book began feeding us children brewer’s yeast with breakfast.
Similar effects as you describe except in the classroom.
Ah, as a teen with acne, someone told me to eat brewer’s yeast. Came up as fast as it went down.
