a picture-perfect no-nose-gear landing. he brought it down with great control, feathered the front prop (ending up with it in a horizontal configuration), and left a surprisingly short trail of sparks. looks like the runway was *not* foamed. but he walked out of the plane. funny thing; the firemen couldn't get the cowling open. either they didn't have the tool handy, or they spaced on the twist-lock routine ...

looks like he's going to try to land with the rears deployed. he's been circling the sunport, burning off fuel. the runway's been completely foamed. he should be ok.

ok, local channel 7 has a helicopter following it. it's a cessna skymaster, with the push-pull twin engine config ... can't get the nose wheel to come down. jammed solid.

local albuquerque tv news has commandeered the channels; apparently an aircraft is making an emergency landing of some kind at the sunport ...
