too little sleep. need to get to bed by ten tonight, otherwise i'm toast. hal, we've gone out of our monsoon season with a wheeze. more rain in the last couple of days than in the last year, but not close to enough to even make it a 'normal' year.
yesterday, driving around town during a storm, a woman drove blithely into a dip that accommodated an arroyo (dry creekbed) ... of course, you know what happened. the water came gushing down, loaded with junk washed from it's journey down from the mountains. i could hear the shriek in the car. it was all of eight inches deep ... she drove through fine ... but i doubt she'll ever drive through an arroyo during a storm without looking again.
