today's update on the viveash fire is not good. from 6500 acres estimated last night, to 22,000+ confirmed via infrared this morning, this fire is fully 1/2 as large as cerro grande (los alamos) in THREE DAYS.
it's sad when you can't get fresh news from local sources. the best i can find this morning on the pecos/viveash fire is via the albuquerque journal.
cerro grande STILL isn't out. looking for containment june 6.
this morning, after an early client run, you can't see any smoke at all. compare with yesterday, below. the night, if there's no wind, lets the fire lay down. by afternoon, we'll be back to full billow again.
